7th International Music Festival Banja Luka 2004.

 

 

International Music Festival in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Hercegovina) will be organised by Radio Television of Republic of Srpska seven year in a row. The Festival has proved to be one of the best in Balkan region concerning organisation, high quality of performed songs and participation of a large number of well-known artists from the former Yugoslavia. The Festival is divided in two genres, folk and pop. Its international reputation gives any author or performer possibility to take part in. There will only be performed the songs which had not been publicly performed or published before.

 

Rules and Regulations for participating

 

Each participant has to perform one song (no longer than four minutes each) of his/her own choice with "live" vocal and a half playback on CD or DAT.Song may be presented in any language. The songs must be with original music in the pop music genre (ballad, pop-dance, dance, euro-pop, pop-rok, R&B, disco, latino, a.s.o.) and lyrics. The performers have to possess the copy-rights on their original song. It will be produced on a CD to be sold for benefit and worldwide promotional purposes.

Both Festival Nights will be live broadcasted on Radio Televison of Republic of Srpska (RTRS), and recorded for Radio Televison of Serbia (satellite chanel) as well as several tv stations in entire Serbia and Montenegro and FRY Makedonia.

          The international jury will appreciate equally the music, arranement, the lyrics and the  performance.

      Awards:

1st  prize for the composition                                                2 500 EUR

2nd prize for the composition                                                1 500 EUR

3rd prize for the composition                                                1 000 EUR

Prize for best interpretation                                                1 000 EUR

Audience Prize                                                                       500 EUR

Prize for best arrangement                                                    500 EUR

Songwriting Prize                                                                    200 EUR

Organizers’ award for entire performance

 

The entry form must be accompanied with

 

1. Application
2. Biography of the singer and autors, 2 recent photographs and  

promotional  materials
3. CD or DAT with the original song - full and half playback. The songs must not exceed 4 minutes
4.Two copies of the original lyrics in English translation

5. One short video BETACAM and DV-cam about the participants

country for promotional purposes during the festival
 

Participants should make their own transportation arrangements to Belgrade, Sarajevo or Zagreb.

          The organizers will provide full accomodation for the contestant and the accompagning person and for dancers to.
